Carrying on the spirit of hospitality of our predecessor, Elm Villa, which had a long history as a high-class traditional restaurant, we want to give our guests a unique opportunity to experience the enchantment of the ever-changing seasons.
We treasure each and every encounter with our guests, and, through our heartfelt and attentive service, we hope to provide a memorable experience.
Elm Garden’s General Manager, Sano Susumu
Elm Garden first opened in 1946, and until 2005 it went by the name Elm Villa. It has long been loved by noted figures from all walks of life, including former prime minister Kakuei Tanaka, shogi player Yasuharu Oyama, and baseball star Shigeo Nagashima.
Renowned for its beautiful garden, Elm Villa was particularly famous for “Nomai”, a dance performed on the grounds by geishas.
Many guests were also drawn by the restaurant’s traditional kaiseki cuisine.
Elm Garden carries on that tradition to this day.
